The present DFDS transport and logistics activities will
be incorporated in DanTransport
Holding a/s, thus creating a transport and logistics
company with 9,000 employees and a
turnover of DKK 15 billion.
DFDS Dan Transport, which is the name of the new
transport and logistics company, has 230 own offices in
Europe, USA, and the Far East.
The management of DFDS Dan Transport consists of
Managing Director Ole Frie, who has been with DFDS since
1960, Executive Vice President Benny Rhe Hansen, with
DanTransport since 1992, and Executive Vice President Ole
Sehested, with DFDS since 1966.
The head office of DFDS Dan Transport will be in the
present DanTransport domicile on Kornmarksvej in Glostrup,
Copenhagen.
"Together the companies will be a major, powerful
transport and logistics provider - the second largest in
the Nordic countries - with the requisite strength and
position on the market in Northern Europe. The new company
will be extremely well-positioned in the restructuring now
in process within the European transport industry," says
