The co-operation will commence on 31st August 1999, and
the new partner will serve the DFDS Dan Transport Group
organizations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the UK,
the Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland.
CLI International is owned by 21 independent German
forwarding companies, all being members of the domestic
Cargo Line distribution network in Germany. This network is
represented by 43 franchise partners, controlled by 14
share holders covering 44 locations and with a total of
3,800 employees and a yearly turnover of DEM 1.2 bn (= DKK
4.6 bn).
DFDS Dan Transport has also signed a Letter of Intent to
acquire all of the shares in the forwarding company Deugro
Carl E. Press GmbH & Co Logistics KG in Frankfurt with
a turnover of DEM 60 mill (= DKK 220 mill) and 120
employees. Deugro is part of the domestic Cargo Line
network as well as the CLI International organization. DFDS
Dan Transport will as the owner of Deugro become a
shareholder in CLI International.
The above agreements in Germany complete the DFDS Dan
Transport European network, offering a full international
as well as domestic transport and logistic coverage.
