The new DFDS head office will house the management
functions for the DFDS Group, which has 12,000 employees in
22 countries and on board 30 ships. In addition, the
operational management of DFDS Tor Line and DFDS Seaways
will be located in the new DFDS head office, which will be
the workplace of 250 employees. DFDS Dan Transport’s
operational management will remain in its current domicile
on Kornmarksvej in Glostrup/Brøndby.
The place of call for DFDS Seaways’ passenger ships on
the København-Oslo service will be just north of the new
residential and office area at the America Quay,
immediately behind the Langelinie Quay. Here, a passenger
terminal with the capacity to serve two ships at the same
time will be built. In addition a marshaling area will be
established for automobiles, trucks, and trailers, as well
as a multistory car park. The new terminal will have a
capacity to serve more than one million passengers, 75,000
automobiles, and 50,000 trucks/trailers annually.
