DFDS Liner Division, which operates the ro/ro freight

Fredericia/Copenhagen-Klaipeda
In addition, the freight capacity of DFDS Seaways'
passenger ships is also used. DFDS Tor Agencies, including
Nordic Terminal in Great Britain, and a Technical
Department, which is responsible for the technical and
safety-related maintenance of the ships.
DFDS Tor Line AB's present managing director,
Oddbjörn Fastesson (58), who has been responsible for DFDS
Tor Line for 12 years, will be the managing director of the
new company.
Turnover in the company is DKK 2.1 billion. DFDS Tor
Line has 1,000 employees and 23 ro/ro ships in operation on
the North Sea and the Baltic. In all, 7 million tons of
freight, or approximately 6 million lane meters, are
transported. The DFDS Group's structure after this change
appears on the enclosed organization diagram. We also
enclose a map of DFDS Tor Lines ro/ro-routes.
The DFDS Group's activities are divided into
two business areas - freight transport and passenger
shipping - within the three operating companies DFDS Dan
Transport, DFDS Tor Line, and DFDS Seaways. The Group has
an annual turnover of DKK 19 billion, a staff of 12,000, a
fleet of 30 passenger and ro/ro freight ships, and 7,000
trailers on the roads of Europe every day.
