It is expected that the port terminal will be taken into
use at the beginning of 2003. It will comprise an area of
150,000 square metres, with an option for an additional
50,000 square metres. To begin with the terminal will be
able to handle two ro/ro ships at the same time, with a
possibility for further expansion of the capacity.
Due to the location of the terminal the sailing time
will be reduced by approximately three hours per call.
DFDS Tor Line’s total investment in the terminal is
expected to be approximately DKK 100 million, of which the
major part will be invested in 2002. The terminal will have
no effect on the result until 2003 at the earliest, when a
modest, positive effect is expected.
