Passenger routes:
As part of the organizational adaptation and to optimize
route earnings through development of the product, sales,
and marketing concept on board and on land, as of 8
November Steen Ruby has been employed in the new position
of route director for DFDS Seaways Routes. Steen Ruby, MA
(Economics), comes from a position as director in Maersk
DFDS Travel.
The other activities, which appear on the diagram DFDS
Seaways Group Organization 2000, are:
DFDS Seaways' subsidiaries
in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, England,
Holland/Belgium, and the USA, which market DFDS Seaways'
passenger routes in the respective countries. DFDS Seaways
has a total annual turnover of approximately DKK 2 billion,
and employs a staff of 1,900.
DFDS Canal Tours
which has operated canal tours in the canals of
Copenhagen since 1904, and which transports 500,000
passengers every year using 14 modern port tour boats.
Canal Tours employs 45 people during the summer
season. The director is Mogens Krug, and the annual
turnover is approximately DKK 13 million.
DFDS Travel
which with the takeover of the DanTransport Travel
Bureau is now the second largest business travel bureau in
Denmark. The managing director of DFDS Travel is Ole
Mortensen, formerly managing director of the DanTransport
Travel Bureau. DFDS Travel’s annual turnover is
approximately DKK 1.6 billion, and the company has 275
employees in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and England.
