DFDS Dan Transport has received approval from the German
antitrust authorities regarding the acquisition of the
German forwarding company Deugro Carl E. Press
GmbH and Co. Logistics KG in Frankfurt.
The company will be taken over with effect from 1
September 1999 and employs 120 staff with an annual
turnover of approximately DKK 220 mill.
During the first quarter of 2000 the company will be
renamed DFDS Deugro Transport GmbH.
The company is a shareholder in the German national
distribution network Cargo Line as well as in the
international CLI organisation (Cargo Line
International).
The acuqisition will not affect the 1999 result, but
will have a minor, positive effect on the result for 2000
and onwards.
