The bridge concept integrates the information and
transport flows within the port agencies, terminals and
vessels in a process-oriented working model focusing upon
the customers' requirements for cost-efficient transport
solutions and continuing improvement of the systems.
From June 18 1999 the new NorBridge service will call at
the Grenland area with three direct sailing's per week in
each direction from both Immingham in the United Kingdom
and from Rotterdam in the Netherlands. In future the main
ports in Norway will be Oslo, Brevik and Kristiansand.
Until the new terminal in Brevik is completed about
September 1999, the service will call at the neighboring
port of Herøya.
Through the introduction of the new schedule with
dedicated vessels for each service, DFDS Tor Line's
NorBridge service will provide the industry with faster,
safer and more reliable transportation.
