With effect from 14 February 2000 DFDS Seaways has
appointed Captain II on m.s. CROWN OF SCANDINAVIA, Hans Ole
Frederiksen, 51, to Captain I on m.s. DANA ANGLIA.
Hans Ole Frederiksen signed on for the first time in
DFDS as second officer on the freight ship m.s. LABRADOR in
1979 and since then he has served on many of the Company’s
ships, including DANA REGINA, DANA GLORIA, WINSTON
CHURCHILL, TOR BRITANNIA, and TOR SCANDINAVIA.
Hans Ole Frederiksen was promoted to first officer in
1981 and to chief officer in 1982. In 1994 he was promoted
to Captain II, and since 1997 CROWN OF SCANDINAVIA has been
his permanent ship. In mid-February he will take over the
command of the DANA ANGLIA, which, following a major
“overhaul” is being completed at the shipyard in
Poland.
