WebLogistics, Post Danmark, and Microsoft enter into agreement on logistics solutions for e-business

With the new agreement with Microsoft, WebLogistics and Post Danmark can offer a total solution to both Danish and foreign companies that are engaged in or plan to be engaged in e-commerce. The total solution comprises on-time distribution of goods to customers worldwide, efficient handling of stock, and payment for the sold goods. When the companies make use of the new total solution they can sell their products on new markets without tying up large amounts in a network of dealers.

Internet commerce demands good logistics solutions from the purchase of a product on a website until the product is delivered and paid for. Therefore DFDS Dan Transport and Post Danmark established the firm WebLogistics in August 1999, to specialize in logistics solutions for e-commerce companies.

“For WebLogistics the alliance means that we can offer an even broader range of integrated internet logistics solutions, based on various platforms. WebLogistics notes an increasing demand from new companies that want flexibility in the IT area, among other things. Therefore it is important for us to establish cooperation from time to time with a number of partners in the e-commerce sector,” says Jørgen Kold Rasmussen, Managing Director, WebLogistics A/S.

Yours sincerely,

Carsten Foghsgaard
Communications Director
