Agreement signed on new DFDS Tor Line Port Terminal in Rotterdam

This agreement between the Rotterdam Municipal Port Management and the DFDS Tor Line Group A/S was signed on 27 March 2001 in Copenhagen. The total investment amounts to DKK 100 million divided into two phases of which phase one amounts to approximately DKK 55 million. The terminal is expected to be ready for use in spring 2003.

The terminal of DFDS Tor Line will be situated in a newly developed area of the Rotterdam Port direct to the sea, taking up the last 200,000 square metres vacant in the Maasvlachte growth area, and facing the container terminals of Maersk-Sealand, ECT and P&O Nedlloyd. The new terminal will mean a transit time between Rotterdam and the United Kingdom three hours shorter than today.

Besides the terminal in Rotterdam DFDS Tor Line has its own terminals in  Esbjerg, Oslo, Brevik, and Immingham.

Yours sincerely,
DFDS Tor Line Group A/S

Ole Frie
Managing Director
