Agreement signed: DFDS Tor Line acquires Freight Vessel and strengthens the Route between Sweden and England

M/v ELK was built in 1978, has a service speed of 18 knots and a capacity of 2,040 lane metres. The vessel sails between Middlesbrough and Gothenburg twice weekly and Middlesbrough and Helsingborg once weekly.

The m/v ELK is registered under English flag and DFDS have no intention of changing this.

DFDS Tor Line will lease back both the m/v ELK and the trailers to P&O Ferrymasters with effect from 1 January, 2001. P&O Ferrymasters will thus continue to operate both service and door/door traffic based on the above-mentioned route. DFDS Tor Line will be able to use the service.

Beginning 2001 negotiations with P&O Ferrymasters will take place concerning a further strengthening of the co-operation.

Yours faithfully,
DFDS A/S

Director, Preciding
