The DFDS Group will in 2003 be leaving its headquarters
at Sankt Annæ Plads 30, which it has occupied since 1872. A
new lease agreement has been entered into with the property
company Sjælsø Gruppen A/S concerning the building of a
new, modern domicile for the DFDS Group at
Kalkbrænderihavnen in northern Copenhagen.
The change of headquarters address is the realization of
a wish to establish a modern and up-to-date working
environment for DFDS’ employees.
Providing accommodation for 275 employees, the new
10,300 m2 DFDS domicile will have its own underground car
park. Designed by the architects Dissing and Weitling, the
new headquarters will be one of the last buildings to be
constructed in the Kalkbrænderihavnen area, where its
neighbours will include a patent agency, a finance house,
solicitors, IT firms and a restaurant.
The DFDS move to its new headquarters is scheduled for
August 2003. The Danish Nurses’ Organization has acquired
Sankt Annæ Plads 30 for occupancy from 1 October 2003.
