Today, the Lithuanian government has decided to
officially transfer negotiation rights from the Dutch
syndicate BB Bredo B.V. to DFDS Tor Line. This is a result
of prior negotiations with the parties behind BB Bredo B.V.
and the Lithuanian government.
In addition to DFDS Tor Line, the involved parties are
the Israeli Sprinter Gadot Yam Ltd. and the Dutch Eurochem
Shipping B.V.
With a basis in the existing contract between the
Lithuanian government and BB Bredo B.V., DFDS Tor Line is
now negotiating the terms for a supplementary agreement
that takes into account both DFDS Tor Line’s interest in
LISCO’s ro/ro and ro/pax activities and the Lithuanian
authorities' wishes for a revision of certain items in the
agreement.
Negotiations are expected to be completed during
February.
