It has now been decided to name the first vessel m.s.
DANA GLORIA, which will be employed under Danish DIS flag.
The vessel will sail as a freight vessel with first
departure from Esbjerg 10 August 2002.
As previously advised, the DANA ANGLIA is to be
transferred to DFDS Seaways’ cruise ferry service
Copenhagen-Trelleborg-Gdansk with first departure from
Copenhagen 2 October. The DANA ANGLIA will be
replaced by the DANA GLORIA as a ro-pax vessel, departing
from Esbjerg 3 October 2002.
DFDS Tor Line will emphasize its new ro-pax concept by
painting ”DFDS Ro-Pax” on the side of the vessel and
maintain the bright colours of the hull. In April
2003 the DANA GLORIA is planned to be replaced by her
sister ship, which in the meantime will have undergone a
substantial refurbishment in order to increase the
passenger capacity and improve restaurant facilities and
other public areas.
