The fifth newbuilding is expected to be delivered at the
end of December 2004 for entry into service on Tor Line’s
BritanniaBridge route between Esbjerg and Immingham. It
will operate the route together with the fourth new ship,
which is due for delivery on 31 August 2004. The two ships
are now being built to meet both Danish and Swedish
shipping authority requirements. The shipping company has
options for a further three vessels.
The plan is still to enter the first three newbuildings
into service on the AngloBridge route between Gothenburg
and Immingham, with a 40% increase in capacity as a result.
The first ship is scheduled for delivery in September
2003.
Once newbuildings four and five start operating on the
BritanniaBridge route between Esbjerg and Immingham, an
extra departure will be offered, bringing the number of
weekly departures in each direction up to six. This step
will significantly increase capacity, and the high-speed
vessels will simultaneously enable the introduction of a
better sailing schedule.
Yours faithfully,
