DFDS Tor Line has sold the ro-ro freight vessel TOR
HUMBRIA to Norwegian interests with delivery end of January
2003. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase
price.
DFDS Tor Line has chartered the vessel from the
purchaser for a period of three and a half years, and
therefore she will remain in service on DFDS Tor Line’s
route between Immingham and Rotterdam.
M.s. TOR HUMBRIA was built in 1978 and sails under
Swedish flag for DFDS’ subsidiary company DFDS Tor Line AB,
Gothenburg.
In consequence of the new tonnage strategy communicated
early in 2001, DFDS Tor Line has sold totally seven ro-ro
freight vessels during the years 2001/2002, partly as
direct sales, partly on a charter-back basis.
