Norske Skog has decided to enter into a new shipping
contract with Lys-Line and DFDS Tor Line concerning
transport of its paper products from Skogn, Norway. The
contract runs from 1st May 2003 until 31st December 2009,
and concerns transport of paper from Skogn to Germany, the
Netherlands, Belgium, England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain and
Overseas Markets.
The contract with Lys-Line and DFDS Tor Line will
allow for co-operation with the other cargo owners in the
Trondheimsfjord region through the project ”Future
Logistics Solutions for the Central Nordic region”. Norske
Skog is pleased that the project can be implemented in
steps already from 2003 by a change towards combined
sideport/lolo and roro vessels, as soon as such a
development can be sustained by the necessary flows of
cargo. The future development of cargo flows through the
Skogn Terminal will be the responsibility of Lys-Line and
DFDS Tor Line.
Norske Skog has also decided to renew its contract with
Lys-Line concerning transport of paper products from the
Oslofjord. The contract runs from 1st May 2003 until 31st
December 2009, and covers transport of paper from Oslo,
Halden and Skien to Germany, Belgium, England, Scotland,
Ireland, Spain and the Mediterranean.
Norske Skog also wish to inform that the existing
co-operation with Seatrans concerning transport of paper
from Skogn will be completed in accordance with running
contracts.
