Polferries to call at DFDS Terminalen in Copenhagen

Polish Baltic Shipping Co. (POLFERRIES), operating the passenger- and cargo liner service between Swinoujscie and Copenhagen, has decided to move from their present location at Nordre Toldbod to the newly opened DFDS Terminalen in Copenhagen.

DFDS A/S and Polish Baltic Shipping Co. have signed a long-term agreement comprising port services and terminal handling for the Polferries service at the new DFDS passenger terminal in Copenhagen, which already handles the DFDS Seaways Copenhagen-Helsingborg-Oslo service and the two DFDS Tor Line cargo services; BalticBridge (Copenhagen-Klaipeda) and PolBridge  (Copenhagen-Gdansk).

M/f Pomerania operated by Polferries on the service is going to call DFDS Terminalen five times weekly as of early January 2005, where DFDS will be in charge of handling the cargo arriving from or going to Poland, whereas the Danish General Agent of Polferries, Franck & Tobiesen A/S, continues to represent Polferrries in sales-and booking matters.

Vindrose Rejser is also continuing as sales- and handling agent for passengers on the Polferries service between Swinoujscie and Copenhagen.

Both Franck & Tobiesen and Vindrose Rejser are opening offices at DFDS Terminalen.
