DFDS starts a new route from Gothenburg to Rotterdam

From 1 May 2004 DFDS Tor Line will commence a new ro/ro freight service between Gothenburg and the new DFDS Terminal in Massvlakte/Rotterdam under the trade name of MaasBridge.

With two calls a week in either direction the new service will be an extension of the existing Gothen-burg/Harwich service and will thus connect the shipping line's three main markets of Scandinavia, the Continent and Great Britain.

The service will carry the usual mix of trailers, wheeled traffic and containers as well as various industrial bulk traffics on ship's trailers under the heading of DFDS Shipping Logistics.

It is the ambition of DFDS Tor Line to a greater extent to focus on the shipping hubs of Gothenburg, Rotterdam and Immingham and create further ro/ro services connecting these hubs with new destinations so as to offer a variety of services to transport and industrial customers alike enabling traffic to switch from land transport to short sea shipping.
