As a member of the Executive
Board of the DFDS Group, Søren Jespersen will take over
the position as Passenger Director of DFDS on 15
February 2004, with responsibility for the DFDS Seaways
division. For several years, 46 year-old
Søren Jespersen has been employed in the SAS Group,
during the past three years as Senior Vice President
for SAS World Sales, with responsibility for global
sales of the Group. Thus Søren Jespersen has thorough
knowledge of the consumer segment -
business-to-consumer - which is DFDS Seaways’ main
business area. After a transfer period, Søren
Jespersen will succeed Thor Johannesen, Director, who
will be available to DFDS Seaways and the Executive
Board of the DFDS Group until his planned retirement in
spring of 2005. As from 15 February 2004, the
Executive Board of the DFDS Group will consist of Ole
Frie, Managing Director, Christian Merrild, Chief
Financial Officer, and Søren Jespersen, Passenger
