DFDS has sold two multipurpose ships

DFDS’ Lithuanian subsidiary, Lisco Baltic Service, has sold two multipurpose / container ships, viz. m.s. JOGAILA built 1992 and m.s. KESTUTIS built 1993. They have been sold to Finland and Korea, respectively. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sales prices.

They were the smallest and slowest ships in the DFDS tramp fleet, and the sales are primarily due to the fact that present-day customers demand larger and especially faster tonnage. To replace the sold ships Lisco Baltic Service has chartered larger and faster tramp tonnage.

M.s. KESTUTIS was delivered 2 February in Newcawtle, and m.s. JOGAILA was delivered in Rotterdam 29 March, 2005.
