07/12/2006 DFDS long-term charters two large Ro-Ro ships
In July 2005 we announced that DFDS Tor Line had chartered two Ro-Ro ships from Macoma Shipping Ltd. for a period of ten years with an option for a further three years. The ships are being built at the Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing, China, for delivery at the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008, respectively.
05/12/2006 DFDS sells freight vessel
DFDS LISCO has sold the freight vessel TOR NERINGA to Latvian interests as of 4 December 2006. The parties have agreed to keep the sales price confidential.

Revenue for Q1-Q3 rose by 18% to DKK 5.5 billion. Revenue for the full year is expected to rise by 17-18% Operating profit (EBITDA) for Q1-Q3 rose by 26% to DKK 897 million Pre-tax profit for Q1-Q3 improved by DKK 165 million to DKK 379 million
30/10/2006 Profit expectation 2006 upgraded to DKK 400 million (SEA)
The profit expectation in the half-year report was a pre-tax profit of approximately DKK 325 million. Due to the profit development in the third quarter, which was better than expected, and expectations of a continued robust market situation in the freight sector, DFDS upgrades the profit expectation for 2006 to a pre-tax profit of approximately DKK 400 million.
03/10/2006 DFDS’ acquisition of Norfolk Line Containers B.V. approved by German authorities (SEA)
The German competition authorities have approved the DFDS A/S acquisition of the container shipping company Norfolk Line Containers B. V. with effect from the beginning of October 2006.
06/09/2006 DFDS buys m.s. Fjord Norway from Norwegian shipping company (SEA)
DFDS Seaways has purchased the passenger ship m.s. Fjord Norway. She will be delivered 16 October 2006. After refurbishment and change of name, the vessel will be deployed on the Bergen-Haugesund-Stavanger-Newcastle route from the start of November.

15/08/2006 DFDS acquires Norfolk Line Containers B.V. (SEA)
On 15 August 2006 DFDS A/S agreed with Dutch Norfolk Holdings B.V. to acquire 100% of one of its subsidiaries, Norfolk Line Containers B.V., operating container shipping activities between the Continent and Ireland. Norfolk Holdings B.V. is a member of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group.

The Board of Directors of DFDS appointed Niels Smedegaard after a thorough selection procedure. The decision was based on his extensive international management experience in logistics services for major industrial customers for whom quality, reliability and ‘just-in-time’ are key factors.
14/07/2006 DFDS expands in Immingham
The extension to the DFDS Nordic Terminal Riverside in Immingham outer harbour was officially opened on 12 July 2006. The terminal has been extended by 200,000sq.m. and three berths, and now covers a total area of 720,000 sq.m., and has totally six ro-ro berths

02/03/2006 DFDS buys ro-pax ship and increases capacity in the Baltic
The 92% DFDS-owned company, AB Lisco Baltic Service in Lithuania, has purchased the Ro-Pax vessel SVEALAND from Stena RoRo for delivery at the end of April 2006. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
20/02/2006 DFDS enters container service in Spain
As of 1 March 2006, DFDS’ Norwegian subsidiary DFDS Lys Line AS will enter into a joint service with the Spanish shipping company Vapores Suardiaz Norte S.L. to operate a joint weekly container service between Bilbao, Avonmouth, Dublin and Greenock.

13/01/2006 DFDS sells Ro-Pax ship (SEA)
As of today’s date, the DFDS-owned company Lisco Baltic Service has sold the Ro-Pax vessel PALANGA to the New Zealand shipping company Monto Stello Limited. The sale will bring DFDS a profit around DKK 16 million, which will be entered into the accounts for 2006.
