DFDS terminal in Rotterdam (Vlaardingen) is strategically located near important highways, and offers direct links to the inland waterway network that connects to any European areas. The terminal has a footprint of 13.5 hectares.
EASY ACCESS TO AND FROM MAJOR HIGHWAYS AND INLAND WATERWAYS
Cargo Handling
With a fleet of cargo handling equipment, ranging from forklift trucks to a 100-tonne mobile harbour crane, the DFDS terminal can handle the most simplistic cargo to the more complex.
Vessel Handling
There are 3 berths within the terminal capable of handling vessels up to 230m in length x 27m in beam x 11.88m in draught.
Inland Waterways
The Rotterdam (Vlaardingen) terminal offers direct links to the inland waterway network connecting to any European areas, which are generally difficult to reach via other modes of transport, especially for the larger, out of gauge cargo. In addition to the capability of stevedoring 3PL vessels, DFDS operate their own vessels in Vlaardingen for services to and from UK ports.
Workshops
Our terminal in Rotterdam (Vlaardingen) offers on-site workshop facilities, where refueling, trailer washing, MOTs, and repairs can all be undertaken.
Warehousing & Storage
There are warehousing and cross docking facilities in addition to a dedicated transhipping area with an undercover facility.
