Easter in England

Easter in England

The Easter holidays are a great time to visit England with your family. Board the DFDS ferry to England and get involved in the many activities on offer for Easter. This holiday will be sure to please the whole family. The Dieppe-Newhaven ferry is perfect for exploring Brighton and the Calais-Dover and Dunkirk-Dover ferries will allow you to reach other English locations with ease. You can also travel on the Amsterdam-Newcastle ferry crossing for Easter activities in the north and Scotland.

Easter in London

Every year, the capital of London has many activities on offer for Easter. Traditional Easter egg hunts take place in different parts of London. We suggest you visit the WWT Center in London where children can enjoy an Easter egg hunt in the centre. Lauderdale House also offers activities for the whole family. Seeing as Easter is primarily a religious celebration, many religious ceremonies take place too. Lastly, we suggest you visit Charbonnel and Walker or Prestat, luxury chocolatiers, to fulfil all your Easter chocolate cravings.

Easter in Kent

Kent, also known as the Garden of England, has many parks and castles that are worth a visit for a pleasant walk. These areas are great for organising a big Easter egg hunt for all the family. In April the Lindt Gold Rabbit Hunt will be at the Gold Bunny Trail. There is also a traditional Easter egg hunt at Betteshanger Park which takes place between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Easter in Brighton

Brighton is only a 20-minute drive from our Newhaven port. This seaside town offers lots of Easter activities during the Easter holidays. The Easter Bunny is at Borde Hill Garden throughout April where you can eat an abundance of chocolate and get involved in the fun games on offer. From climbing with High Sports, tree climbing with Go ape, Tarzan swinging and Laser zone battles there are plenty of activities for all the family. Brighton beach is a must when visiting. Enjoy the beautiful view of the sun setting over the sea and maybe try some traditional fish and chips while you’re there!
