Amusement parks in England

AMUSEMENT PARKS IN ENGLAND

How about a day out at one of England's thrilling theme parks? There are plenty to choose from across the country, so here are a few recommendations to help you find a park ideal for you and your family or friends.

DFDS ports are ideally located on both the northern and southern English coastlines to allow you to reach your favourite amusement parks with ease.

Make sure to keep a look out for any special offers on our 4 routes from Europe to the UK, too.

Amusement parks near Newhaven

After 4 hours of relaxation onboard the DFDS ferry from Dieppe, you will arrive rested and ready to have fun at the Drusillas Park, less than a 20 minute drive from our Newhaven port. This zoo and amusement park is home to hundreds of exotic animals, as well as themed play areas. You can even organise your birthday party at the park and spend an unforgettable time discovering the animals and even feeding them.

Not far from Newhaven you can visit Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Park that will take you into the world of model trains.

Amusement parks near Dover

Take your car to one of our DFDS ferries to Dover and visit Adventure Island at Southend-on-Sea. It’s an admission-free amusement park where the rides are divided into 3 categories and you only pay for the ones that suit you the most.

You can also visit Center Parcs Elveden Forest near Cambridge. It offers many outdoor activities such as archery and paddle boarding as well as indoor entertainment including creative workshops, climbing walls and fitness classes.

Amusement parks near Newcastle

Visit The Forbidden Corner amusement park which is about a two-hour drive from DFDS Newcastle Port. The park, a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and surprises, has earned the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor and was named Best Large Visitor Attraction at the White Rose Awards in 2015.

Located less than a two-hour drive from our Newcastle port, York Maze Amusement Park is ideal for a family getaway. Rides, shows, water fights and mini-golf are just some of the many activities that will delight both children and adults.
