With direct access to the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal, the DFDS Mercatordok Multimodal Terminal is ideally located to connect to the motorways and rail network of Belgium and its hinterlands. A variety of services can be offered at our 240,000m² facility.

Cargo handling

Being one of the main stevedores in Ghent for Volvo cars and Volvo trucks, DFDS' MMT cranes, reach stackers, and forklifts can handle all kinds of cargo ranging from RoRo and containers to high and heavy project and break bulk cargo.

There are 2 berths within the terminal capable of handling all types of seagoing vessels up to: 300m in length x 35m in beam x 15m in draught. For LoLo operations we can offer a total length of 1040m alongside the quay.

Warehousing & storage

We have 9,000m² of warehousing in addition to outside storage, as well as 6,500m² of covered transhipment and cross dock facilities and a rail connected transhipment area.

Workshops

Our workshops can facilitate trailer MOTs, repair of trailers, containers, and mobile machines. Trailer washing and re-fuelling is also available.
