Anyone travelling from Calais and Dunkirk ports to the UK, can shop at the duty free stores. However, if you are travelling from Dunkirk to Rosslare you will be unable to shop in the duty free shops. This is because Ireland is part of the EU and exempt from Duty Free. Please note, you must have a sailing booked in order to reserve and collect.

Can anyone shop at the Calais and Dunkerque Duty Free Shops?
Why does the Reserve & Collect shop only offer some product categories?
The Reserve & Collect shop only includes beers, wines and spirits because this is where the biggest duty free savings can be made. This is also where the biggest allowances are. If you are buying in bulk, by ordering online in advance, we can package everything up for you and it will be waiting ready to collect on a trolley for you to put straight in your car.
A broader range of products including perfume, cosmetics, toys and technology can be found onboard and, in our duty free stores.
Do I have to pay for my reservation in advance?
No. In order to comply with duty free regulations the goods must be paid for in person and instore, so no payment is taken in advance of your visit.
When and where do I pick up my goods?
You choose your collection location (Calais or Dunkerque Duty Free Store), the date and the pick-up time that suits you best when you reserve online.
You can find the Calais Duty Free Store located in the terminal building at Port of Calais. You can find the Dunkerque Duty Free Store at Dunkerque port terminal.
What happens to my reservation if the trip gets cancelled?
If your trip gets cancelled that’s not a problem. Just let us know via email and we will cancel the reservation.
How much can my car carry?
A quick check of your driver manual will give you the maximum load allowance of your specific car.

How can I pay?
We accept payment in Sterling or Euro Cash (we recommend that you pay sterling cash to guarantee the advertised sterling price). Please note that all cards are processed in Euros. Therefore you may pay a little more or a little less depending on the euro to sterling conversion rate used by your card provider on the day.
Can I place an order in advance?
Absolutely. We have launched our our Reserve & Collect and you can also email us on DunkerqueDutyFree@dfds.com or CalaisDutyFree@dfds.com to make sure we reserve the products that you need in advance of your visit.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from 9.30am to 10pm, 7 days a week in both Calais and Dunkerque Duty Free shop.
How do you work out your savings?
We change our offers every couple of months and benchmark our savings claims against the RRP in the UK.
What exchange rate do you use?
We try hard to be as close as possible to the going exchange rates, so we set our rate monthly.
I placed an order and I need to cancel it. Is this possible?
No problem at all. You have not paid for the order so just let us know and we can amend the collection date or cancel for you.
Do you deliver?
Regrettably, the rules that apply to Duty Free Sales prevent us from being able to deliver. All goods must cross the border with their owners.
Can I change my order?
Absolutely. Nothing is set in stone until you get to the in-store payment stage. If you change your mind and let us know up to 24hours before collection we will amend it. We can also amend in-store when you are here if you change your mind.
