Like many companies, Brexit presented dnata with new challenges. Until then, the company had no issues dealing with customs when transporting their frozen entrées and retail products. As the deadline for Brexit approached, dnata decided to look for a reliable partner capable of handling all the procedures to ensure the goods they transported complied with the new regulations and cleared customs promptly.

dnata also needed to ensure their hauliers and suppliers had access to a smooth set-up to maintain speed and capacities. For instance, entrées prepared in the UK containing POAO (products of animal origin) require specialist knowledge when of two areas of the NI protocol – customs clearance and DAERA (Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs) controls. This was crucial to ensuring shipped goods met tight timeframes to maintain airline schedules.
