The process of embarking on a ferry is influenced by a number of different factors - the quantity and structure of the cargo and its attachment; number and age of passengers, number of passengers traveling with children, number of disabled passengers; number of buses and individual vehicles; time of arrival or delay of the ferry; vehicle failure or damage during loading.
To help make boarding fast and painless, please read the meaning and importance of the signs below. However, we would like to point out that the arrival of the priority passengers is also very important. When boarding starts, there will be a greater chance of placing their vehicles in a more convenient place, avoiding climbing stairs from the lower decks. In turn, if you arrive at the end of boarding, the sign giving priority rights may no longer mean much, as the car will be parked where is available space.
Issued during check-in for families traveling with children, this sign must be placed on the rear-view mirror. The ferry staff responsible for the loading, will try to park the car in the more convenient and easily accessible location if possible. At the same time, the staff advises one parent to use an escalator with the children - avoiding climbing stairs from the lower car deck.
Issued during check-in for disabled passengers, this sign must be placed on the rear-view mirror. A ferry staff in charge of the loading will try to park the vehicle in a more convenient location (close to the lift) if possible.
Issued during check-in for passengers with pets, this sign must be placed on the rear-view mirror. The ferry staff responsible for the loading, will try to park the car in the more convenient and easily accessible location if possible, so that passengers can visit the pet easily during the trip. If a pet is left in the car, it is recommended not to turn on the alarm and lock the car manually.
Issued during check-in for passengers who need assistance during boarding (e.g. for elderly people or for one person travelling with several young children), this sign must be placed on the rear-view mirror. The ferry staff responsible for the loading will aim to find out what assistance is needed and help accordingly.
Issued during the check-in for motorhomes or caravans that use gas cylinders, this sign should be placed on the rear-view mirror or put on the windshield. Drivers must keep gas cylinders closed during the ferry journey. The ferry staff responsible for the loading will remind the driver to check that the gas cylinder is closed before leaving the car.
