With direct access to the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal, the DFDS Mercatordok Multimodal Terminal is ideally located to connect to the motorways and rail network of Belgium and its hinterlands. A variety of services can be offered at our 220,000m² facility.

Cargo handling

Being the exclusive stevedore in Ghent for Volvo cars and Volvo trucks, DFDS' MMT cranes, reach stackers, and forklifts can handle all kinds of cargo ranging from RoRo and containers to high and heavy project and break bulk cargo.

Vessel handling

There are 2 berths within the terminal capable of handling all types of seagoing vessels up to: 300m in length x 30m in beam x 15m in draught. For LoLo operations we can offer a total length of 1040m alongside the quay.
