We put sustainability first and invest in innovative services and technologies.
Our sustainability strategy is closely tied to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 5, 13, 14, and 17. The two overarching themes, Environmental Footprint and Caring Employer, are each supported by three ambitions. We continuously add individual metrics to measure progress.
We want to be a responsible neighbour by reducing pollution, waste, and noise in the communities in which we operate. We improve air quality by reducing emissions from our fleet of ferries and trucks. We support our marine environment.
Sustainable business is about people. We want to ensure well-being for all our employees and support their physical and mental health. We want people to be happy when they go to work and when they go home. We strive to be an inclusive and multicultural workplace and believe that diverse groups and teams make better decisions. We also support individual employees and groups of colleagues at DFDS in taking initiatives to do good and to care about each other in the local communities where we operate.
We will improve our operations to reduce relative emissions by 45% by 2030. We will be climate neutral by 2050 through the use of new fuels.
