Patras: More reach between Türkiye and Europe
Strategically located on Greece’s western coast, Patras lies at the crossroads of Southern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. It plays a central role in two of our Mediterranean freight shipping routes.
On the Pendik–Trieste route, customers benefit from two weekly calls at Patras, one in each direction. These calls provide additional routing options for freight transport between Türkiye and Greece, and onwards to wider European markets through the established DFDS transport network.
Patras is also a port of call on the Damietta–Trieste route, with one weekly call on the Trieste–Patras–Damietta rotation. This creates a transport corridor connecting Italy, Greece and Egypt in a single route.

The Pendik–Trieste service includes one weekly port call at Bari in each direction, connecting Türkiye with Southern Europe. Combined with Italy's extensive road and rail transport network, the connection supports inland freight transport across Italy and onwards to Spain, France, Germany, the Benelux and other major European markets.
