UK Ferry Routes to Europe with DFDS

DFDS are one of northern Europe’s biggest ferry operators and we run 8 passenger routes including 4 between the UK and the Continent.

From the UK you have several options for travelling to Europe by ferry. You can cross the Channel on our Dover to Dunkirk or Dover to Calais routes, as well as our Newhaven to Dieppe route. Our Newcastle to Amsterdam route provides an ideal link from the north of the UK to the Continent.

We have routes between Norway and Denmark, and crossings linking Germany and Sweden with Lithuania and Estonia, providing convenient access to Scandinavia and the Baltics.

Proudly named the World’s Leading Ferry Operator

We did it! We retained our titles as both Europe’s Leading Ferry Operator and the World’s Leading Ferry Operator again in 2025.

We were also once again recognised as having the best website in our industry – scooping both the European and World awards in 2025.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted, and to our passengers, colleagues and partners who contribute to our continued success – we couldn’t do it without you all.
