De Ruijterkade 153 (behind Central Station) to IJmuiden Ferry Terminal | 15:30 | 16:30 |
By car
When you are on the A9 coming from Amsterdam, Den Haag, Haarlem, or Alkmaar you take the turn to Ijmuiden. Then drive next to the channel and go right on the Pontplein so you still drive with the channel on your right. Drive under the viaduct and at the roundabout go right. Now you’re driving on the Halkade, follow this road until you arrive at the Felison Terminal.
By train
Trains are a less convenient mode of transport for getting to the terminal. The nearest train station to the port is Haarlem Central - you can then get a bus to IJmuiden. First, take bus 75 to Plein 1945 and then take bus 74 to the port.
Taxi service
As Ijmuiden is a small village there are not many taxis so it is best to order them in advance on 0031 (0) 251314422 or 0031 (0) 255 513838.
Please note: Taxi journeys are expensive in Holland - a taxi from the port into Amsterdam City centre costs around €60 each way.
