DFDS are the only operator to offer the Kiel to Klaipeda route, connecting Germany to Lithuania, Eastern Europe and beyond. The overnight crossing runs six days a week, Monday to Sunday in both directions.

Our route across the Baltic sea, between Klaipeda in Lithuania to Kiel in Germany is the perfect link between Eastern and Western Europe.

Germany to Eastern Europe

Head to eastern Europe from Germany on a daily, overnight ferry crossing from Kiel to Klaipeda. Explore the charming port town of Klaipeda and its 18th century architecture before venturing on. Famous for its natural landscapes, follow the Lithuanian coastline to the turquoise waters of the Curonian Spit or travel inland to rural, rolling landscapes, dotted with thatch-roofed cottages and farmlands.

Alternatively, you can travel into Estonia, Latvia, Poland and beyond.

Onboard Facilities

Our onboard facilities provide you with a comfortable and relaxing journey. Relax in the bar with a choice of beers, wines and spirits, or simply enjoy a so ft drink and a snack. The self-service restaurant offers a wide range of cuisine and is excellent value, or you may wish to dine à la carte. The onboard shop is home to a great choice of fashion, fragrance, alcohol and tobacco, whilst children will have a great time in our special Kidz' Club. As well as games and toys they can even watch cartoons, keeping them happy all the way.

Ferries to the Baltics

Travelling by ferry is a great way to relax and unwind for your holiday ahead.

Our ferry routes across the Baltic Sea include a crossing from Sweden to Lithuania (Karlshamn-Klaipeda), Sweden to Estonia (Kapellskär-Paldiski) and also a route linking northern Germany with Lithuania (Kiel-Klaipeda).
