6 days, 8 nights cycling around Sweden

For fans of active entertainment, you've got the opportunity to try one of Sweden's best bicycle routes in the south. The road is safe, marked with signs and stretches mostly through nature. During your trip, you'll have the opportunity to see the changing landscape of southern Sweden - the rural surroundings with the fields, the wild beaches of the Baltic Sea and the surrounding forests.

Sweden in 6 days - Ivosjon Lake

Day 1 and 2

Day 1 - Karlshamn - Sölvesborg (33 km)
When you arrive at Karlshamn Harbour in the morning, you'll have the whole day to start your journey by bike. On your way to Sölvesborg, you'll find fishing enthusiasts in Mörrum who enoy catching salmon and trout. After greeting them, you'll continue your journey and just a few kilometers away will reach the area along the Baltic Sea coast! After a day trip, stay in the cozy town of Solvesborg or in the nearby Tredenborgs campsite.

Day 2 - Sölvesborg - Kristianstad (33 km)
On the second day of cycling, you'll reach the region of Skane and you can choose one of the few attractions along the way! You'll start your journey along the only archipelago in the region and have plenty of opportunities to cool off at sea. You'll then head towards Lake Ivösjön, where you can stop for a picnic or explore the lake with canoeing. Stop for the day at the charming town of Kristianstad visiting the modern water level control station built on the wetlands and the visitor center.

Day 3 and 4

Day 3 - Kristianstad - Brosarp (52.9 km)
The longest and most interesting route is waiting for you on this day. You'll start your journey through rustic Swedish surroundings, through wheat and rapeseed fields and medieval Åhus town, continuing along the sea in the beautiful Friseboda Nature Reserve. At the end of the day, you will reach Brösarp, Sweden's most popular town with many authentic restaurants and great cafes to enjoy a Swedish fika - coffee break.

Day 4 - Brosarp - Simrishamn (50 km)
Day 4 will give you lots of wonderful views and unforgettable experiences! After cycling for approximately 10 km you'll reach the 23-meter Hallamölla waterfall, and nearby you will be welcomed into Christinehof Castle and the oldest Skane coffee shop – Alunbruket. The rest of the route will go along the Baltic Sea again and allow you to admire the changing landscape - from fields and meadows to pine forests, dunes and rocky seashore.

Sweden in 6 days - Malmo

Day 5 and 6

Day 5 - Simrishamn - Malmö (Train)
Time to relax! Travel to Malmö, Sweden's third largest city, by train. Stay here and spend a day exploring the city where modernity blends playfully with traditions. Exchange your road bike for a water bike for a day and explore the city on the river, visit one of the parks, do some shopping and don't miss the 120-year history of the chocolate factory!

Day 6 - Malmö - Karlshamn (Train)
After a quiet day in Malmö, take the train to Karlshamn. Before leaving for the ferry, you will have time to explore this charming 18th-century town, shop and dine.
