The City of London has become more and more cycle-friendly over recent years, with local schemes and efforts to improve its cycling network. Many cycle routes and lanes have been added and there’s a bicycle hire scheme available throughout the capital which has been set up with Santander Cycle.
But remember, London is a busy city centre, so stay safe and wear a helmet and reflective clothing.
You can even take guided tours of England’s capital by bike for a fast, fun and interactive way to see the city.
The Green Avenue is a specially marked 406 km bike route that links Paris and London via Normandy, with our ferry crossing from Dieppe to Newhaven serving as the perfect bridge between countries.
The route in France begins in the capital of Paris and is mainly made up of quiet roads and greenways such as Pays de Bray and the Epte valley.
After your ferry crossing from Dieppe to Newhaven, the trail to London takes place on the national network of cycle routes recognised by the British organization, Sustrans.
You can find out all about the route on the official Green Avenue website.
