Adventure in England
Take the car with DFDS to England and travel around the country on your own. Discover England and its amazing scenery and exciting history. The beautiful Lake District in north-west England is not far from Newcastle, and the Scottish border is only 1½ hours drive away. There are many good campsites in both England and Scotland, but we also recommend that you spend the night in one or more Bed & Breakfast places, one of the many small hotels or maybe a classic beach hotel on the coast.
On the journey to England you will find experiences for both young and old; national parks, Harry Potter Hogwarts and medieval castles are just some of the great things England has to offer. There is left-hand traffic throughout the UK, but you get used to it quickly.
