Red Cross makes a difference for the world's most vulnerable people. This year, they are working under the theme 'without a home', focusing on people who are without shelter, food or medicine. It includes support for homeless as well as battered women at home who have to flee their homes, assistance to cyclone and flood victims in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, as well as assistance to parents in war-torn Yemen who have lost their homes. In Yemen alone, more than 3 million children and adults are forced out of their homes.

That is why the aid will range widely - from warm blankets for the homeless and security-creating networks for the battered women, food and other survival assistance to the many affected by disasters and war.
