Bring the whole family to the Fårup amusement park, one of Europe's best amusement parks! The park is idyllically located in the mysterious forests of North Jutland, and offers over 60 different attractions. Here, there are plenty of cool carousels both on land and on water, as well as some high-flying attractions for the bravest.

Do you dare to try "Fønix", Denmark's longest roller coaster? Or "Fårup rafting", which takes you on a fast-paced boat trip through lush, Danish surroundings?

The very little ones can enjoy themselves on a train ride through the forest, drive their own electric car on a track, or join a ride on cute Icelandic horses. All around the park you will also find trampolines, wheels of fortune and fun games for the whole family.

Fårup also offers a number of places to eat such as Restaurant Loen, Restaurant Oasen, Hotdog Hytten, Fårup Grillen, Spiskammert or Aqua Café. You can also bring your own picnic food and eat in one of the park's many picnic areas, or grill yourself on one of the available grills.

How to get to Fårup Sommerland with DFDS

The shortest way to Fårup Sommerland with DFDS is to take the car on board from Oslo to Frederikshavn. From the terminal, the drive to Fårup Sommerland takes 1 hour and 10 minutes.

It is also possible to take the train from the terminal in Frederikshavn to Fårup, but this is a longer journey. The train runs from Frederikshavn to Aalborg, and then you have to change to a bus in the center of Aalborg. This trip takes approx. 3 hours.

What you can experience in Fårup Sommerland

In the 900-m² park, you will find over 60 different attractions, including "Fønix", Denmark's longest roller coaster, "Lynet", which goes from 0 to 80 km/h in just 2 seconds and "Hurricane" which runs both above and below water!

The park also has several smaller carousels that are suitable for the very little ones, such as "Rundrejsen", "Skovturen" and "Færdselsskolen", where children can control their own small, electric car through a car track. Fårup also sets up its own live entertainment and concerts in the park, treasure hunts, and horseback riding through pleasant, Danish surroundings.

If you like water activities, you should take a trip to the park's water park "vannland". Here you will find several fun water slides, various pools and a water cannon for those who love speed! In 2024, "Waterrace", a 172 meter long water slide with two lanes, will open, so you can race against a friend or maybe a parent? In addition, the water park has several water slides suitable for smaller children and a separate children's water park for the very smallest.

Opening times and prices for admission to Fårup Sommerland (faarupsommerland.dk)

Ticket prices Day ticket: DKK 229 – 299 per person aged 3-64. Senior ticket: DKK 179 - 349 per person over the age of 65.

Free entry for children aged 0-2 years. Tickets can be purchased physically in the park on the same day, or in advance in the park's webshop.

Parking There is free parking at the park. It is also possible to charge electric cars. You will find 20 electric charging stations in the car park (directly in front of Falken). To use the electric charging stations, you must bring your own charging cable and download the Norlys Opladning app. Through Norlys' app, anyone can charge regardless of nationality - and it does not require a subscription.

Dog in the park Dogs are allowed in the park. The dog must be on a leash during the entire stay and cannot enter the water park or the park's restaurants. There are "dog bars" around the park so your dog can drink water.
