FAQs about LCL shipping

LCL or less than container load refers to the fact that the client’s goods are not enough to fill an entire container, therefore they are placed next to other client’s goods in one container. LCL containers are then taken out of the consolidation point and moved to the port of export.

LCL is not as secure as FCL. The risk of damage is lower when it comes to FCL, as well as theft or loss because it requires less handling compared to the products shipped via LCL.

LCL freight rates depend on the route and they usually change. We recommend you fill up our form and let us know the dimensions of your LCL shipment in as much detail as possible, as well as your desired dates so that we can provide you with the best price possible.

Normally, LCL is cheaper because it charges by weight measure, whereas FCL charges you a flat rate for the container, no matter the size of your goods.
