If you’re planning a trip to Europe with a school or youth group, then DFDS are here to help make it easy. We can assist you in arranging a fun and comfortable crossing to Europe from the UK, both on foot or with a coach.

If you’re travelling from the south of England, then our routes from Dover to Dunkirk and Calais offer a quick and convenient way to cross the Channel to the continent. However, if you’re travelling from northern England or Scotland, our daily, overnight sailing on a ferry to Holland may be more convenient or you.

Travelling in a coach?

Coach travel to France

With up to 52 daily sailings between Dover and Dunkirk and Calais, as well as up to 6 daily sailings between Newhaven and Dieppe, it’s easy to take your coach to France.

Coach travel to Holland

Sail overnight with a coach from Newcastle to Holland with 20 or more passengers and your driver and coach travel free.

Onboard Experience

Amsterdam-Newcastle

Two cruise ferries operate this overnight route linking northern England with Holland.

Calais-Dover

The crossing times may be short, but you'll find plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained as you sail on our modern ferries between Calais and Dover.

Dunkirk-Dover

With a sailing time of just 2 hours between Dunkirk and Dover, there is plenty to do onboard whilst you sit back and relax.

Dieppe-Newhaven

This route links southern England with Normandy and has a sailing time of just 4 hours.
