Route to Loch Lomond
Start your tour with a ride along Hadrian’s Wall in the southern part of Scotland. This Roman wall is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. And that is certainly not for nothing. Make a stop for a walk along the wall, which used to mark the border of the Roman Empire. Visit the Visitors Center in New Lanark. Be surprised by the story of the cotton factory in this village through a fun and interactive way. For example, do the Annie McLeod Experience ride that takes you back in time. Drive via Glasgow to the next destination of your tour. Drymen is the perfect base for Loch Lomond. This lake of Scotland lies in the beautiful Trossachs National Park among the mountains. Continue the route to Kenmore. With this route you drive straight through the National Park. The Kenmore hotel is located on Loch Tay. You will never be bored here with water sports activities and beautiful hiking trails through the valleys around the hotel. From here you can make trips to the Highlands, Scone Palace or to the Famous Grouse whiskey distillery at Crieff.
edinburgh the capital of Scotland
During the last nights of the tour you will stay in Leith, the hip harbor town of Edinburgh. You will stay in the Ocean terminal area, an indoor shopping mall on the harbor. In the harbor is also the Rotal Yacht Britannia, the former yacht of the British royal family. But you should also not forget the many restaurants. You will find traditional pubs, hip bars, tasty fish restaurants and cozy tearooms for a real English afternoon tea in this neighborhood. With many medieval houses, narrow alleys in the Old Town and Georgian mansions in the New Town, it is one of the most impressive cities in the United Kingdom.
