This region is home to many beautiful natural areas and historic sights, such as Caerlaverock Castle and Annandale Distillery. You then travel on to Ayrshire, where historic castles, museums and beaches await you. You can also take a day trip to the Isle of Arran from here. You can spend your third night in Scotland in (New) Lanark or Glasgow. New Lanark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers not only culture but also the beautiful nature of the Falls of Clyde reserve. Lanark itself is a historic town with many parks and the Lanark Heritage Trail to explore. Your journey ends in the charming harbour town of North Berwick.
