DFDS BRINGS NEW RESTAURANT CONCEPT ON BOARD
At the Danish ferry company DFDS not only a comfortable crossing in the center, but also good food. That is why the ferry company is starting the season on the Amsterdam-Newcastle route with a new and innovative restaurant concept.
Hamburg, March 12, 2018 . In the course of the modernization of the DFDS ferries KING SEAWAYS and PRINCESS SEAWAYS, the Danish shipping company is setting new standards in the design of the "Explorer's Kitchen" buffet restaurant, the "North Sea Bistro" à la carte restaurant and the "Coffee Crew" onboard café ferry business. "Our guests can look forward to high-quality, seasonal dishes prepared by our chefs from fresh, top-quality ingredients," says Pete Akerman, Marketing Director, DFDS.
The buffet restaurants " Explorer's Kitchen " Guests have a choice between a Mediterranean, American, Asian, vegetarian and vegan cuisine. The choices range from tapas, various burgers, sushi, pasta, grilled specialties and fresh salads to a large selection of desserts. In advance, the evening buffet can already be booked for 19.95 euros per person.
The new à la carte restaurant " North Sea Bistro " can have dinner guests with a fantastic view of the sea. Here the guest can expect high quality classics and new creations. "Thanks to their many years of experience, our chefs on board know the best dishes and ingredients from around the world and are inspired by popular classics of international cuisine," says Akerman. Sommeliers on board recommend the right wine to the menu. The 2-course menu is already available from 32.95 euros per person for adults and 19.95 euros for children. With an advance reservation, passengers can save up to 33%.
Trained baristas and bakers on board the DFDS ferries make the coffee " Coffee Crew Café " with delicious coffee and pastries for the perfect start to sail. The first rays of sunshine in the morning, guests on board can enjoy in peace with a cup of coffee at the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet is already available for 9.95 euros with a pre-booking.
