How to prepare for Brexit

Information about Brexit

Even though the UK has left the EU, there will be no changes to trade until the transition period ends on 31 December 2020. DFDS hopes that the negotiations about a trade agreement will allow the free flow of goods between the EU and the UK to continue. However, we are also preparing for a situation without a trade agreement as we have no guarantees that negations will lead to an agreement. We are currently working to inform you about how we can support you in your preparations for a situation without a trade agreement. The information will be published soon on this site.

In the meantime, we recommend that businesses trading between the UK and the EU prepare for the customs formalities. We have produced the following checklists, which you may find helpful. In addition, we recommend you use the listed links to government websites and Brexit guides.
