Your Essential Travel Guide To The Emirates Stadium

Learn About Arsenal Football Club And The Emirates Stadium
Arsenal’s home stadium is the third largest in the UK (after Wembley and Old Trafford) and seats over 60,000 fans.
The Emirates Stadium is in Holloway in north London, a vibrant and green part of the city, with a newly redeveloped area around the stadium. Whether you’re just going for match day, or you’re staying a little longer to enjoy the city, there’s plenty to capture your attention.
Getting there
London is within easy reach of our ferry port at Dover, taking just 1 hour 30 minutes to travel by car along the M2 into the city. There are daily crossings from Dunkirk and Calais, providing easy access by road from France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. You also have the option of travelling from Dieppe to Newhaven, just 2 hours’ drive from central London.
What to see in North London
Visiting the Emirates Stadium puts you near to some of London’s most beautiful boroughs and areas, including Holloway, Islington, and Hampstead Heath. Islington High Street offers a wide variety of independent shops and eateries, including the 16th century Peacock Inn.
To the west you have the famous parkland of Hampstead Heath, offering stunning views across the city, as well as beautiful open fields and wooded areas. In the summer it becomes the perfect place for a picnic or a cool spot beneath a tree, or just as a place to escape the bustle of the city.
How to get to Emirates Stadium
Arsenal’s stadium has the advantage of being easily reached from anywhere in the capital. London’s public transport system is extensive and easy to use, with Tube stations and overground train stations nearby. Arsenal Tube station and Holloway Road Tube stations are both minutes from the stadium, and there’s also the option of Drayton Park mainline station.
Visiting Emirates Stadium
As one of the biggest stadiums in the UK, Arsenal’s home plays host to many major sporting and cultural events, including international football tournaments. You can tour the stadium to see behind the scenes, listening to Arsenal stars sharing matchday stories as you go.
