DFDS are proud to be part of the Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade public art trail, marching across Maidstone this summer to support Heart of Kent Hospice.
From 19 June – 22 August, streets, parks and open spaces across the Maidstone will become home to 50 giant sculptures of the much-loved children’s book character Elmer the Patchwork Elephant.
Our sponsored sculpture is called Beside the Seaside – quite an apt name for us with our hundreds of ferries sailing across the channel every day, don’t you think? We don’t want to spoil the surprise of what our fabulous elephant looks like so you’ll have to head out on the trail this summer to see it in all its glory! With lots of elephants on the trail to discover, it’s a guaranteed day of adventure and fun.
Why not take part in the trail and see if you can discover our elephant to unlock a special treat from DFDS on the Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade app?
