See Dolphins in the wild with DFDS

See dolphins in the wild – Amsterdam to Newcastle

Learn about the dolphins, whales and other marine life that live in the North Sea as you sail from Amsterdam to Newcastle with conservation charity ORCA and their wildlife experts. There are so many onboard activities for kids and adults alike to take part in.

Visit the onboard ORCA Wildlife Lounge where you can learn even more about our aquatic neighbours and take in the spectacular North Sea views. The wildlife watching experience is free of charge and is available onboard King Seaways from March-September. The most common sightings onboard include Harbour Porpoises, Minke Whales and White Beaked Dolphins.

Get involved

Wildlife charity ORCA promotes the conservation of the marine environment through education and research, providing a forum for the enjoyment of whales, dolphins, seabirds and other marine life. Working closely with the public to raise awareness of the importance of marine conservation, DFDS is proud to be working with ORCA. When you're onboard, get involved in:

  • Deck watching for birds, whales and dolphins (weather dependant)
  • Kids activities including blubber gloves, writing competitions, activity books and more!
  • Documentaries and presentations for adults
